Graph Paper Capital is an early-stage accelerator and networked ecosystem, focused on helping pre-seed/ seed-stage web3 startups find PMF and get to default alive. We are currently in the middle of GPC Spring ‘23 cohort, which kicked off on June 19, 2023, and will run till September 2023.

If you’re an ambitious web3 founder with a bias toward action and execution, apply to our next cohort*. You’ll find more info on the program, investment terms and application process on our Website and FAQs, or reach out to us at [email protected].

This Request for Startups [RFS] doc. has a list of ideas that we, along with our ecosystem partners are most excited about, and would love to see founders build upon. That said, it’s not necessary that we only back the ideas listed in this RFS, and we’d love to see you apply if you’re building something that you’re bullish on!*

Autonomous worlds are a vision of on-chain games that enable the participants of such a world to shape what it ultimately becomes.

<aside> 👩‍💻 *Autonomous worlds are next generation crypto platforms that enable players to participate as creators in the ecosystems and games they enjoy. Unlike the traditional creator-player dichotomy and model of a game, autonomous worlds are built with the philosophy of permissionless extension, opensource, on-chain game state and logic that unlocks additional skin in the game, open, censorship resistant economies and the creation of the first fully permissionless, design agnostic, incentive aligned game creator platforms.

This RFS is authored by Peter Pan and Terry Chung, from 1(kx) Network, who are excited about on-chain games and the emergence of autonomous worlds and have made two native investments in this area. Read more here.*

A Game that reads the state of another game

Loot project was the first ecosystem that had a shared resource state - the Loot NFTs. Axie Infinity builders’ program and Treasure are also building towards this vision.

We are yet to see a fully on-chain game whose on-chain logic operates on the game state of another game.

Games that share state

Ethereum applications all rely on a shared global state - that of the contents of smart contracts, our EOA wallets. We therefore have multiple games (defi apps, consumer crypto products, NFT trading…etc) that interact with the same base layer state - and often times interact with each other (defi money legos).
